This swashbuckling romance transports English gentleman, Rudolf Rassendyll, from a comfortable life in London to fast-moving adventure in Ruritania, a mythical land steeped in political intrigue.
What a delightful and adventurous read. Rudolf, who is the spitting image of the soon to be crowned king, finds himself thrown into the fray when the king is kidnapped and someone needs to take his place until he can be rescued. Who better than the one who looks like his double. I appreciated the honorable role model that Rudolf becomes as he deals with his sudden status and the potential for taking advantage of his situation. Once the action starts, you won’t want to put it down. ~ Nancy
