We cannot find treasures, any more than happiness, without some degree of light, and perhaps we shall find the treasure in a different shape from what we expect. The Passage metaphorically describes the journey we must all take, in one form or another, as we grope through the darkness-desperately searching for purpose, for security, for adventure, or perhaps for a way out. We must all embark upon a journey which leads us either toward the light or away from it. May your passage be so brightly lit that you can clearly see the way, and that others might follow.
