The Stranger at Home, along with its accompanying stories, might seem a little “hard-edged,” but it aptly challenges us to reconsider our God-given roles as parents and children. The folly of permissive parenting, and the inevitable consequences of obstinacy, disobedience, lying and vanity are brought forth with “not-so-subtle” clarity, yet permeated with life-changing truths.
